Do we need the time of birth for both of us?
Yes, for both of you: without the time there is no ascendant, and the interplay between your ascendants is one of the loveliest parts of the book. The time is on the birth announcement or can be requested from the municipality.
Is this astrology or astronomy?
Both, each in its own place. The positions are astronomy: the real sky, calculated for the date, time and place of both of you. The interpretation is astrological tradition, written as a story, for inspiration and enjoyment, not a prediction.
Can I see what it will look like first?
